Dorfman beating double teams in the first half and a halfback pass to Dad put them up 4-2. But a controversial quick-snap play and Blake's INT return for a touchdown off a deflection sent it to OT. In OT Blake got teams third INT, then threw the winning TD pass to Scott to lock up the MVP.
Final Score: 5-4 (OT)
MVP: Blake

Careful review of video indicates several players in motion during a critical TD play. League officials are reviewing to determine if referees should be reprimanded.
ReplyDeleteBLAKE was also extremely impressive as a kicker. Repeatedly he kicked off from the 40 yd line and sent booming balls over the end zone. When asked why he didn't let one of the girls kick, he replied "I'm trying to win MVP this year"!
ReplyDeletecleats are definitely illegal. also ineligible receivers downfield helped them clench the win.
ReplyDeleteSadly we have lost our MVP to the fighting Irish, but we are hopeful he will be able to make next season's big game. And we are hoping the Irish will benefit from his mad skills!
